Motörhead's 1986 album Orgasmatron is being commemorated with a 40th anniversary reissue arriving in November, featuring both a new remix by producer Cameron Webb and a remastered version of the original mix by Bill Laswell. The dual-mix approach addresses longstanding concerns from band members Lemmy and Phil Campbell, who felt the original Laswell production had lost some of the album's raw power and energy. A lyric video for the remixed title track has been released, demonstrating Webb's approach of deepening the sonic landscape whilst preserving the recording's character.

Available in three formats—single violet vinyl, 3LP bookpack, and 2CD media book—the anniversary edition benefits from Webb's intimate knowledge of the band, having produced six studio albums with them since 2004. Working from the original 24-track tapes, Webb aimed to enhance rather than overhaul the recording, bringing out the bass and guitar definition whilst respecting the creative choices made by Jason Corsaro and Bill Laswell. Webb described his philosophy as channelling what Lemmy and Phil would have requested, revealing "more of what was inside it" rather than replacing the original entirely.
