## Key points

- Nick Bosa is back in limited practice and says he feels ready.
- DeForest Buckner could rejoin the 49ers defensive line.
- Mike Evans and Christian McCaffrey are also progressing towards returns.

## Summary

Nick Bosa returned to limited practice for the San Francisco 49ers on Wednesday and said he feels ready to play, raising the prospect of a major defensive reinforcement. His return could come this week, as the team prepares to face the Las Vegas Raiders after its first defeat of the season.

Bosa, 29, has missed six weeks with a calf injury and has played in only two games, recording seven tackles. The 49ers may also welcome back former teammate DeForest Buckner, recently acquired from Indianapolis; the pair combined for 16.5 sacks in 2019. Coach Kyle Shanahan said Mike Evans is making progress after an Achilles injury, while Christian McCaffrey said he feels well after a hamstring problem.
