- *Watchmen* and *Andor* are suggested for *Lanterns* fans.
- Both pair science fiction with grounded drama and mystery.
- The provided article excerpt starts a third pick, *Heroes*.

## Summary

The article recommends five science-fiction series for viewers who enjoy HBO’s *Lanterns*, praising the show for pairing superhero characters with television drama and mystery. It says *Lanterns* also renewed interest in Green Lantern after the poorly received 2011 film, and argues that other established franchises can likewise support distinctive storytelling.

The excerpt discusses *Watchmen*, a sequel to the graphic novel in which Angela Abar investigates a mystery amid a changed America, and *Andor*, which follows Cassian Andor’s path into the Rebellion and explores its costs. It also begins to introduce *Heroes*, noting its 2006 debut and characters with superhuman abilities; the supplied article text ends before the remaining recommendations are given. Kyle Chandler and Aaron Pierre star in *Lanterns*, while Pierre is expected to return as John Stewart in *Man of Tomorrow* in 2027.
