Robbie Williams has said he was recently diagnosed with autism as well as ADHD, describing the news as an explanation for aspects of his behaviour and thought patterns. The former Take That singer said the diagnosis had given him greater insight rather than defining him, and highlighted the role creativity plays in managing anxiety and intrusive thoughts.

Speaking at a London Q&A, Williams said he can experience distressing, spiralling thoughts, including fears while flying, but is working to redirect his attention. He said making images and humorous material helps quieten his mind, allowing him to focus on creative work rather than worries.
