A transgender former German police officer has confessed to raping a 15-year-old girl in a McDonald's toilet, telling the Traunstein Regional Court she would face around three and a half years in prison as part of a plea deal reached with the judge. The 55-year-old, identified as Maja S., had already been suspended and fined after investigators found roughly 2,000 files of child and animal pornography along with a Kalashnikov rifle at her home and workplace. Her lawyer has since complained that she is being "whistled at" and examined by male officers after being moved to the men's section of Stadelheim prison, a claim that has drawn attention alongside the seriousness of the case.

The assault took place in August 2025 during a motorcycle trip, when the defendant, described as 1.84 metres tall, allegedly forced her way into the toilet cubicle behind the victim. It came to light after her fiancée found a suspicious message on her phone and confronted the girl, who described being kissed and touched; the fiancée then reported the matter to federal police. A second alleged assault reportedly occurred after a swimming trip, when the girl woke up undressed in the defendant's bed with no memory of what happened. Maja S. has now confessed to most charges, sparing the victim from testifying, and has been ordered to pay her €5,000 in compensation.
