## Summary

This Collider article rounds up fantasy television series featuring dragons that the writer considers standout, "masterpiece"-level shows. It highlights how dragons, long a staple of folklore and mythology, appear across a wide range of styles, from whimsical animated comedy to epic, lore-heavy drama, with the common thread being that strong storytelling elevates a dragon's appearance beyond mere spectacle.

The list includes Adventure Time, praised for its whimsical, unconventional serpentine dragons like Whipple the Happy Dragon; The Dragon Prince, a 3D animated series where dragons are central to the plot involving humans, elves and dark magic; Merlin, a low-fantasy Arthurian retelling where dragons feature as part of its European folklore roots; and The Legend of Vox Machina, based on a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, featuring the god-like Chroma Conclave of five elemental dragons. The article's title promises seven shows in total, though the supplied text details four before being cut off.
