## Key points

- A viral 2017 Twitter horror story became a 2018 film.
- Alyson Hannigan and Fran Kranz star in the horror comedy.
- The film is now free to watch on Tubi.

## Summary

Sam Sykes and Chuck Wendig turned a horror satire into an improvised Twitter story in 2017, which went viral. The following year, it became *You Might Be the Killer*, a horror comedy starring Fran Kranz and Alyson Hannigan that is now available to watch free on Tubi.

The film follows camp counsellor Sam as he tries to piece together a massacre from fragmented memories, while his friend Chuck offers horror-film advice over the phone. It combines a conventional slasher story with jokes about the genre, including references likely to appeal most to horror fans. Its festival run and release on Shudder left it relatively obscure, and the article presents its Tubi availability as a chance for viewers to rediscover it.
