Rayan Cherki produced a standout display as Manchester City beat Crystal Palace 4-1, scoring two second-half goals after receiving a start from new manager Enzo Maresca. Cherki, signed from Lyon for £30m, made 33 Premier League appearances last season but started only 19 of them, and had begun this campaign by assisting twice from the bench against Bournemouth.
