Dutch guitarist Adrian Vandenberg has cancelled his August 2026 US “My Whitesnake Years” tour after being hospitalised with a bacterial infection. He said medical specialists had advised him not to travel so soon after treatment, although his condition is improving and his team is seeking new dates.

The tour had been due to begin on 3 August in New Bedford, Massachusetts, with Vinnie Moore and Marco Mendoza in the line-up, celebrating music associated with Whitesnake and other rock acts. Vandenberg, known for his work with Whitesnake including the “Here I Go Again” guitar solo, said this was the first time in roughly 50 years of touring that he had had to cancel a show or tour.
