Dutch guitarist Adrian Vandenberg has announced he is "completely healed" after being hospitalised with a bacterial infection, sharing the news in a video message posted on 13 September 2026. The illness had forced him to postpone his previously announced "My Whitesnake Years" US tour, which had been due to launch in August in New Bedford, Massachusetts, featuring guitarist Vinnie Moore and bassist/vocalist Marco Mendoza.

Vandenberg confirmed the US tour has been rescheduled to next year and is likely to be paired with a West Coast run, tentatively planned for May. Before then, he has a busy remainder of 2026 lined up, including a festival appearance in Malta next month, a festival date in Japan, and a short South American tour in December. He also thanked fans for their get-well messages and teased new music and an unspecified "musical surprise project" in the pipeline. Vandenberg, best known for his 13-year stint with Whitesnake and his solo eponymous band, remains active with Vandenberg's Moonkings and other ongoing projects.
