‘Adults’ Star Lucy Freyer Says Julia Fox “Put A Curse On” Show After Season 1: “Feels Like A Blessing”
Lucy Freyer, who plays Billie Schaeffer in FX comedy Adults, said guest star Julia Fox jokingly “put a curse on” the programme by saying it would be cancelled if she was not invited back. Freyer described Fox’s wish to return as a “blessing”, praising her comedy and improvisation as the show launches its second season.
Fox reprises her role as herself after appearing in the first-season episode “Roast Chicken”, where she played an old friend of Paul Baker. Adults follows five New York twenty-somethings sharing their friend Samir’s family home; all Season 2 episodes are released on Hulu on Thursday, with Gaten Matarazzo, Raven-Symoné, Jake Shane, Isaac Powell, Ben Marshall, Zosia Mamet and Susie Essman among the guest stars.
