Malik Elassal, who plays Samir in FX's Gen Z sitcom "Adults," has said he would like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani to make a cameo appearance in a potential third season of the show. The suggestion, made in a social media video, plays on the fact that both the fictional Samir and the real-life mayor are Queens-based, and reflects the show's growing trend of drafting well-known figures into guest roles as it builds its profile on Hulu.

Speaking atop the Empire State Building, Elassal said he had "his contact information" and joked about writing Mamdani into an episode as a campaigning politician persuaded to relax with the show's roommates. "Adults" follows five twenty-somethings navigating early adulthood while living in Samir's family home in Queens, and also stars Lucy Freyer, Owen Thiele, Amita Rao and Jack Innanen. Season 2, now streaming on Hulu, has already featured cameos from Raven-Symoné, Zosia Mamet, Gaten Matarazzo, Isaac Cole Powell, Ben Marshall, Jake Shane and returning guest Julia Fox, though a Season 3 renewal has not yet been confirmed.
