## Key points

- Aerosmith played their first show since their touring retirement.
- Dave Grohl, Johnny Depp and Joey Kramer joined the set.
- A second Hollywood Bowl show was scheduled for 1 November.

## Summary

Aerosmith returned to the stage at Los Angeles’s Hollywood Bowl on 30 October, their first performance since their touring retirement was announced after Steven Tyler’s vocal injury. The one-off appearance offered a chance to perform again after their planned farewell tour ended abruptly in 2023, although Tyler’s condition rules out a full tour.

The show featured guest performances from Godsmack, Warren Haynes, Billy Idol, Sammy Hagar, Eric Church, the Black Crowes and Guns N’ Roses before Aerosmith’s set. The band played “Toys in the Attic”, “Back in the Saddle”, “Sweet Emotion” and “Dream On” with Dave Grohl on drums; Johnny Depp joined for “Train Kept A-Rollin’”, and Joey Kramer returned for “Walk This Way”. Aerosmith were scheduled to play the Bowl again on 1 November.
