After 139 Million Views, It’s Officially the End of an Era for Ryan Gosling’s Action Thriller

The Gray Man, Netflix's Ryan Gosling-led action thriller, has dropped out of the streamer's official Top 10 most popular English-language films of all time after nearly four years in the ranking. It has been overtaken by Swapped, a lower-profile title that Netflix says became one of its biggest-ever films within less than a year of release, having previously fallen out of the weekly Top 10 before staging a late resurgence.

Released in 2022 and starring Gosling alongside Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Regé-Jean Page and others, The Gray Man was one of Netflix's most expensive productions and received mixed reviews despite its popularity, finishing with 139.3 million views. The updated all-time Top 10 now runs: KPop Demon Hunters, Red Notice, Carry-On, Don't Look Up, The Adam Project, Bird Box, Back in Action, Leave the World Behind, War Machine and Swapped.

  • The Gray Man exits Netflix's all-time Top 10 films list.
  • Swapped takes its place with a late viewership surge.
  • The Gray Man had racked up 139.3 million views since 2022.
