AL JOURGENSEN: ‘I Think That MINISTRY Has Run Its Course’
Al Jourgensen says Ministry will end after touring the band’s upcoming final album, “Hate To Go (Take Out Or Delivery)”. He believes the group has taken its industrial music as far as it can and says he is no longer enthusiastic about making this kind of music.
Jourgensen, 68, said the album feels like a culmination of the band’s 40-year sound and a fitting point to stop, rather than risk becoming repetitive. Ministry’s 17th studio album is due on 30 October and includes a final collaboration with former member Paul Barker. The band plans an international farewell tour in 2027, beginning with European dates alongside Die Krupps before a US run.
