Guy Ritchie's 2024 war film "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare," starring Henry Cavill and Alan Ritchson, is set to leave Peacock in the United States in less than a month, on 18 August 2026. The removal highlights the divide between the film's lacklustre theatrical run and its stronger performance on streaming, a pattern that has become typical for several of Ritchie's recent releases.

The film grossed around $29 million worldwide against a reported $60 million budget when it opened in cinemas, and it was intended to launch a new franchise, though a sequel now looks unlikely. It marked Ritchie's second collaboration with Cavill after 2015's "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.," which made about $110 million globally on a $75 million budget, while their most recent joint project, "In the Grey," took only $17 million against a $70 million budget. Ritchie's last genuine box-office hit was 2021's "Wrath of Man," which grossed over $100 million, and none of his four subsequent theatrical films have matched that success at the box office.
