Alex G has announced the soundtrack for Jane Schoenbrun’s new slasher film, Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma, and released its lead single, “Pain Is The Heart Of Love”, featuring Paul Buchanan of The Blue Nile. The collaboration continues Alex G and Schoenbrun’s working relationship following We’re All Going To The World’s Fair and I Saw The TV Glow, while bringing Buchanan’s distinctive voice to a song whose lyrics were written by the filmmaker.

The soundtrack contains 15 tracks, combining Alex G’s original score with previously released songs by artists including R.E.M., Counting Crows, Donna Lewis, Sally Shapiro and Okay Kaya. It will be released by Waxwork on 21 August, with the full score due on 11 September; other contributors include Andy Shauf.
