## Summary

Apple TV’s sci-fi comedy *Murderbot*, starring Alexander Skarsgård, offers a ten-episode series that can be watched in under six hours. Its self-aware security cyborg prefers watching television to dealing with people, but a mission with a team of scientists brings danger and the risk that its hidden independence will be discovered.

Each episode runs for about 28 minutes. The article praises Skarsgård’s restrained, anxious performance and the adaptation’s dark, absurdist humour, which also pokes fun at sci-fi conventions and corporate jargon. The series was renewed for a second season before its first-season finale in 2025 and is expected to return in 2027.
