Cold Iron Studios and Daybreak Game Company have confirmed that Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will launch on Nintendo Switch 2 this autumn, following its release on other platforms on 25 August 2026. The announcement extends the co-operative shooter sequel to Nintendo's newer console, giving fans of the franchise another way to play the follow-up to the 2021 original.

The sequel expands the playable squad from three to four members, and adds deeper squad mechanics, smarter enemies and a fully customisable Specialist class. Players take on the role of Colonial Marines fighting off Xenomorph hordes across various levels, either solo with AI companions or in co-op. The news comes alongside confirmation that a Switch 2 version of Alien: Isolation 2 is also planned, for 2027.
