All 5 ‘Hunger Games’ Movies Return to Theaters With ‘Sunrise on the Reaping’ Sneak Peek
Lionsgate and Fathom Entertainment are bringing all five existing "Hunger Games" films back to cinemas from 3 to 7 September 2026, ahead of the franchise's next instalment, "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping," which premieres on 20 November 2026. Each re-released film will include an exclusive sneak peek of the new movie, offering fans a chance to revisit the series on the big screen while building anticipation for the upcoming release.
The films will screen one per day: "The Hunger Games" on 3 September, "Catching Fire" on 4 September, "Mockingjay — Part 1" on 5 September, "Mockingjay — Part 2" on 6 September and "The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes" on 7 September, with tickets already on sale. "Sunrise on the Reaping," directed by Francis Lawrence and based on Suzanne Collins's book, is set 24 years before the original film and follows a young Haymitch Abernathy (Joseph Zada) during the Second Quarter Quell. Its cast includes Jesse Plemons, Ralph Fiennes, Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, Elle Fanning and Mckenna Grace.
