## Summary

Melbourne/Naarm songwriter Allysha Joy has announced that her new album, ‘Actions Of Love’, will be released in spring next year. The record marks her return with First Word Records and draws on the jazz and club sounds associated with her home city.

Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, the album is led by the single ‘Carry It’, which is out now. The song revisits the gospel music Joy grew up singing in church, pairing her vocals with 808s, piano and a lush arrangement; she describes it as a reflection on grief and changing times, and on sensitivity as a strength.
