Amazon MGM Studios has ordered a darkly comic murder-mystery series, *Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone*, starring Penn Badgley and based on Benjamin Stevenson’s bestselling novels. The adaptation brings the book to television after an earlier HBO development attempt, with David Hemingson serving as showrunner. It extends Badgley’s work in crime-focused adaptations following *You* and adds another high-profile original for Prime Video.

Badgley will play mystery writer Ern Cunningham, who attends a Vermont family reunion for his brother Michael’s release from prison, despite having helped secure his conviction. A frozen body and snowstorm leave the family trapped as deaths accumulate, while every relative is said to have killed someone previously. The 2022 novel launched the internationally bestselling Ernest Cunningham Mysteries series; Stevenson’s books have sold more than one million copies across 29 territories.
