Amazon MGM Studios appoints Pia Barlow to series marketing role

Amazon MGM Studios has appointed former HBO Max executive Pia Barlow as its new head of original series marketing, starting on 3 August. She will lead marketing for Prime Video’s US and global original series, underscoring Amazon’s effort to strengthen promotion for its television slate through an experienced streaming-industry hire.
Barlow will report to Sue Kroll, Amazon MGM Studios’ global head of marketing for film, series and brand, in a newly created role comparable to film marketing vice-president Stephen Bruno’s position. At HBO Max, she led campaigns for shows including “The Pitt”, “Euphoria”, “House of the Dragon” and “Hacks”; earlier roles at Netflix, HBO and Twentieth Century Fox covered series, international originals, film, nonfiction and family marketing.
