## Summary

Emergency crews attended HMP Wandsworth in south London, where Russell Brand is being held, after an incident that authorities described as occurring “at height”. The incident was resolved, but officials have not disclosed further details; the response drew attention because Brand is awaiting sentence after being convicted of sexual offences.

Three ambulances and two ambulance cars entered the prison, while three fire engines stayed outside and firefighters went in on foot. The London Fire Brigade said it was called at 9.46am and crews were finished by 10.20am; the Ministry of Justice confirmed the incident had been resolved. Brand, 51, was found guilty of rape and three counts of sexual assault on 5 November and is due to be sentenced on 9 November. He is being held alone following a risk assessment, with regular welfare checks, at a prison housing more than 1,500 inmates.
