Amelia Dimoldenberg Ending ‘Chicken Shop Date’ Is Bigger Than It Seems
Amelia Dimoldenberg has announced that she is ending "Chicken Shop Date", the YouTube interview series she launched in 2014, in which she invites celebrities to a chicken shop for flirty, deadpan interviews. The show became a viral sensation after 2021, most notably following her interview with Jack Harlow, and helped establish celebrity interviews as their own distinctive entertainment format rather than routine press-tour stops, propelling Dimoldenberg to wider fame.
She revealed the news via an Instagram post featuring a handwritten letter and a napkin reading "All good dates come to an end," explaining she began the show at 17 and has spent her twenties meeting people she had dreamt of interviewing. Her final episodes feature Zara Larsson, Paul McCartney and Conan O'Brien, released between March and June 2026, with a few more dates still to come. Dimoldenberg is moving on to star in and produce a romantic comedy for Amazon MGM Studios' Orion Pictures, and has also worked as the Academy's Social Media Ambassador and Red Carpet Correspondent for three years running.
