Producer Amy Pascal has reiterated hope that Tom Holland's Spider-Man and Tom Hardy's Venom could one day share the screen together, despite the long-rumoured crossover still not materialising within Sony's Spiderverse. Speaking alongside Marvel's Kevin Feige while promoting Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Pascal's comments keep alive fan speculation about a meeting between the two characters, who exist in separate but connected film universes produced by Sony.

Asked on the Happy Sad Confused podcast how close the studio was to making the pairing happen, Pascal said "it would be great", while Feige added "always have hope", prompting Pascal to affirm "I have hope. We have hope." No crossover has been confirmed, though Pascal did verify that a separate animated Venom film remains in development, reportedly with Final Destination Bloodlines directors Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein attached. Hardy himself said in 2025 that the two sides had come "as close as I could possibly imagine" to a joint film, framing the appeal as being primarily for younger fans who don't understand why their favourite characters haven't appeared together.
