Amy Winehouse’s family and estate marked the 15th anniversary of her death with tributes highlighting the continuing global impact of her music. The anniversary also drew attention to the lasting consequences of addiction and the pressures Winehouse experienced as her fame grew.

Winehouse died from alcohol poisoning on 23 July 2011, aged 27, with her death ruled a misadventure. Her mother, Janis, said the singer had struggled with confidence and that addiction became controlling; Janis and Mitch Winehouse visited her grave, while the family and Amy Winehouse Foundation held a free London tribute concert supporting young women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction.
