## Summary

James Anderson could continue his cricket career with Surrey after Lancashire decided not to offer him a new contract. The England great, who has not announced his retirement, would bring experience to Surrey and could take on a managed workload while pursuing a County Championship title.

Anderson, who turns 45 in July 2027, has taken 704 wickets in 188 Tests and 911 across international cricket. He also claimed 443 first-class wickets for Lancashire, including 50 Championship wickets last season at an average of 17; several counties have reportedly expressed interest in speaking to him.
