Andrea Bocelli will perform in Wales for the first time in 22 years, headlining the inaugural Land of Song Festival at Cardiff's Principality Stadium. The new festival celebrates Wales's musical heritage, featuring renowned artists and choirs, and marks the Italian tenor's first-ever headline appearance in the country, which he called an "unforgettable" prospect.

The 67-year-old, who has been blind since childhood, is one of classical music's most successful performers, with six Grammy nominations, a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and appearances for royalty, popes and US presidents. He last performed in Wales in 2005 at Bryn Terfel's Faenol Festival, and the new event, taking place in May 2027, will also include the Cor World Choir, a mass singing event involving more than 20,000 people that began in Cardiff in 1992.
