- Blades Brown finished tied 19th as a sword rumour circulated.
- Fifa Laopakdee earned a second consecutive Masters invitation.

## Summary

Andrew Novak won the Mexico Open by five shots after a remarkable weekend run, claiming his first individual PGA Tour title. The victory matters for his season and could help him secure access to more top-level events in 2027.

Novak shot 61 and 62 over the second and third rounds, finishing 19 under par across those 36 holes; he gained more than 5.6 strokes putting in Friday’s round. Blades Brown finished tied 19th in Mexico, amid an explicitly unsubstantiated rumour that members of his team are given swords and “knighted”. In New Zealand, Fifa Laopakdee won the Asia-Pacific Amateur for the second year running, earning another Masters invitation.
