Andrew Tate is indicted for trafficking minors, sex with a minor and money laundering by Romanian prosecutors

Daily Mail · 1 hour ago

Romanian prosecutors have formally indicted Andrew Tate on charges of trafficking minors, sex with a minor, money laundering and witness tampering, with his brother Tristan indicted for complicity. The indictments follow a years-long investigation and come as the brothers, dual US-British citizens, remain in custody in Florida after being arrested in Miami in July under a British extradition request relating to separate UK charges of rape and trafficking.

Andrew, 39, denies ever committing the crimes he is accused of, while Tristan, 38, has complained to a Florida court about harsh prison conditions, including cramped, hot cells, ants and lack of privacy, saying he has lost 14lbs. No date has been set for an extradition hearing, and the UK has until mid-September to submit evidence to the US State Department. The brothers, known for promoting wealth and misogyny online, have argued their controversial statements were exaggerated or satirical, with their lawyers disputing claims about owning luxury assets such as a superyacht and an Aston Martin.
