Andrew W.K. Surprise Releases New Jazz Album Temptation to Exist: Stream
Andrew W.K. has released Temptation to Exist, his first album in five years and a marked departure from his usual hard-rock sound. The album is a meditative jazz project built around piano and cinematic arrangements, underscoring another experimental turn in his career as he reaches the 25th anniversary of his debut, I Get Wet.
The record first appeared on the fan-run AWKSHARE platform on Thursday, with a fan-run Instagram account subsequently sharing its artwork. It follows 2021’s God Is Partying and recalls W.K.’s 2009 solo piano album 55 Cadillac; it is currently available in full on YouTube Music rather than major streaming services, and contains 10 tracks.
