A leaked dossier reportedly shows that Andy Burnham has adopted several policies previously developed for Sir Keir Starmer, prompting critics to label him “continuity Starmer”. The disclosure has raised questions about whether the new prime minister’s administration represents a genuine break from the previous government.

According to Sky News, the 50-page dossier contained around 50 policy ideas and was circulated within Downing Street and parts of the civil service. About 20 had been announced by Starmer before he resigned in July, while six have been issued by Burnham and eight more are reportedly expected; political opponents have criticised the apparent overlap.
