## Key points

- Angela Gossow first noticed Lauren Hart through her work with Once Human.
- An Arch Enemy cover served as Hart’s audition.
- The band’s future album was hinted at.

## Summary

Angela Gossow says Lauren Hart became Arch Enemy’s new singer after Gossow, now the band’s manager, had followed Hart’s work with Once Human and noticed similarities in their vocals and stage energy. Gossow asked Hart to record an Arch Enemy cover as an informal audition, which led to her joining after the band was left without a singer and wanted to continue touring.

Hart had said Arch Enemy’s 2001 album *Wages of Sin* inspired her harsh vocals. Gossow recalled that the change happened quickly in December 2025, and said Hart’s touring experience and willingness to take on the audition helped make her a suitable choice. The discussion also touched on the band’s future and hinted at a possible new album.
