Although the film underperformed in cinemas, its strong streaming performance suggests it has found a wider audience and highlights Hathaway’s continued prominence across major releases.

Directed in a Spielberg-inspired style, The End of Oak Street stars Hathaway and Ewan McGregor as they confront a prehistoric threat after a suburban neighbourhood is transported through time. It earned $120 million theatrically against an $85 million budget, but is currently the most-watched film on the Apple TV store in the United States. Hathaway’s next film, Verity, arrives on 2 October.
