## Summary

Amazon MGM has made Anne Hathaway’s thriller *Verity* available for premium video-on-demand after a one-month cinema run, prompting its removal from about 1,700 theatres. The film had been a box-office hit, but its theatrical run was shorter than the extended release given to *Project Hail Mary*, and its streaming performance is now drawing attention.

Based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, *Verity* also stars Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett. The article says it has not matched the worldwide takings of Hoover adaptations *It Ends with Us* ($350 million) or *The Housemaid* ($400 million); *Reminders of Him* and *Regretting You* each made roughly $90 million.
