ANTHRAX Teams WITH DARK MATTER COFFEE For Limited-Edition ‘Cursum Perficio’ Brew

Blabbermouth · 11 hours ago

Anthrax has partnered with Dark Matter Coffee to launch a limited-edition "Cursum Perficio" blend, timed to coincide with the release of the band's twelfth studio album of the same name on 18 September. The collaboration ties into a broader campaign around the record, which is Anthrax's first in a decade since 2016's "For All Kings", and reflects how veteran rock acts increasingly use lifestyle product tie-ins to promote new releases.

The coffee blends a washed Catuai from Nicaragua with Bourbon and Pacas beans from El Salvador's Santa Ana region, producing what the makers describe as a chocolatey, nutty cup with a sweet citrus finish. It is sold in 12oz bagged formats (whole bean or various grinds) and as an 8-pack of cold coffee. Drummer Charlie Benante said the blend complements his existing "Schism" and "Devil You Know" coffees with Dark Matter. Separately, Anthrax will hold a midnight in-store signing at Guestroom Records in Louisville, Kentucky, following their 17 September Louder Than Life festival set, with access limited to fans who pre-order the album through the store; the album itself will be released in numerous CD and vinyl variants via Megaforce (US) and Nuclear Blast (Europe).
