ANTHRAX To Play Intimate Show In New York City Next Week

Blabbermouth · 18 hours ago

Anthrax will play a small New York City concert at Saint Vitus Bar’s new Bushwick site on 4 September, marking the venue’s grand reopening. The band says it will film the show, making the performance both a celebration of a prominent local metal venue and a documented event in New York thrash history.

Tickets go on sale on 28 August for the concert at 428 Troutman Street, at the former Brooklyn Made premises. Saint Vitus, originally a 250-capacity venue, closed abruptly in February 2024 after building officials found it lacked the permits required for live music; the show also precedes Anthrax’s first album in ten years, *Cursum Perficio*, due on 18 September.

  • Anthrax will reopen Saint Vitus with a filmed 4 September show.
  • The Brooklyn venue closed over permit issues in 2024.
  • The concert precedes Anthrax’s first album in a decade.
