Antiques Roadshow won its first Emmy at the ceremony's opening night, taking Outstanding Structured Reality Program after 24 nominations and ending a run of wins shared between Shark Tank and Queer Eye since 2013. The result is notable because the long-running PBS series, on air since 1997, had never previously secured the award despite 22 consecutive nominations, finally overtaking two shows that had dominated the category for over a decade.

Antiques Roadshow beat Netflix's Love Is Blind and Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives to the prize; Shark Tank had won four times running from 2014 and Queer Eye six times running from 2018, trading the award back and forth since. Elsewhere on the night, Netflix's Love On The Spectrum took Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program for the third time, while Alan Cumming won Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality Competition Program for The Traitors for a third consecutive year, extending his streak over rivals including RuPaul, Jeff Probst and Ariana Madix.
