## Key points

- *Fear The Beast* is near completion.
- Touring and other commitments slowed the album.
- The band is playing unreleased song “Mighty Dragon” live.

## Summary

BEAST IN BLACK songwriter and guitarist Anton Kabanen says the band’s fourth album, *Fear The Beast*, is near completion, though he has not set a release date. The update explains the delay since 2021’s *Dark Connection*: extensive touring, the band’s growth and other commitments left little uninterrupted time to write and finish the record.

Kabanen estimates he wrote 40 or 50 songs during the period, with the band selecting material for the album. The group has released two singles, the title track and “Lost Children”, and is playing an unreleased song, “Mighty Dragon”, as the opening number on its 2026 European tour. Kabanen says he cannot work on the album’s final steps while touring and is making no promises about timing.
