The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, featuring Anya Taylor-Joy returning as Princess Peach alongside Chris Pratt as Mario, began streaming on Peacock on 30 July. The move brings one of 2026’s largest cinema releases to a subscription platform after a successful theatrical run, while also highlighting Taylor-Joy’s increasingly prominent year across film and television.

The sequel became the first film released in 2026 to pass $1 billion worldwide, although it did not match the $1.3 billion-plus gross of 2023’s The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Taylor-Joy is also appearing in Apple TV’s crime drama Lucky and is due to have a larger role as Alia Atreides in Dune: Part Three, scheduled for cinemas on 18 December.
