## Key points

- Apple Intelligence is coming to China with iOS 27.3.
- The beta is scheduled for 4 November.
- The launch excludes the new Siri AI.

## Summary

Apple says Apple Intelligence will begin arriving in China in the iOS 27.3 beta, making a selection of its AI tools available in a market where the service had not yet launched. The move expands Apple’s AI offering there, although the new Siri AI is not included.

The beta is due on 4 November, with the full iOS 27.3 release scheduled for December. Available features are expected to include notification summaries, live translation, writing and proofreading tools, visual intelligence and photo object removal. Apple has also worked with Alibaba to support its Qwen chatbot in some experiences; the tools were approved in China in July, and Reuters reported in August that Apple had trained a language model specifically for the country.
