Apple is opening Apple Music Hall, a 600-capacity concert venue beneath its European headquarters at Battersea Power Station. It will host exclusive performances by established and emerging artists, with shows filmed and streamed online, as Apple seeks to create stronger connections between musicians and listeners. The launch comes as London’s live music industry faces significant financial pressure and widespread venue closures.

The venue will feature a flexible 38-foot stage, advanced audio and video equipment, recording studios, rehearsal spaces and rooms for podcasts, DJ mixes and radio broadcasts. Apple says it is not intended to compete with existing venues, while critics may question the impact of a major technology company entering an already pressured market. The project also marks Apple Music’s return to London’s live events scene, nine years after the iTunes Festival ended.
