Apple has increased the US price of its Apple TV streaming service with immediate effect, continuing a broader pattern of rising charges across major streaming platforms. The move matters because the monthly subscription now costs three times its 2019 launch price, reflecting both Apple’s larger catalogue and the industry’s shift towards regular price increases.

The monthly Apple TV plan rises from $12.99 to $14.99, while the annual plan increases from $99 to $119; existing customers will receive about one month’s notice before the new rate applies. Apple is also raising the individual Apple One bundle from $19.95 to $21.95 per month. Apple TV now has more than 300 original programmes and films, plus selected live Formula 1, Major League Baseball and Major League Soccer coverage.
