Apple TV will add Small Prophets, a six-episode comedy-fantasy series from BAFTA-winning creator Mackenzie Crook, to its streaming library from 7 October 2026. The show, which first aired on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer in the UK earlier this year, has been met with unanimous critical acclaim and joins a growing slate of genre-spanning hits on the platform, following shows such as Silo and Ted Lasso.

The series follows Michael Sleep, played by Pearce Quigley, a DIY store worker still mourning the disappearance of his partner Cleo seven years earlier, who attempts to create fortune-telling homunculi using an old family recipe from his father, played by Sir Michael Palin. It also stars Sophie Willan, Jon Pointing and Paul Kaye, and blends live-action with animation. The show currently holds a perfect 100% critics' score on Rotten Tomatoes and a 94% audience rating, with reviewers likening it to Crook's earlier hit Detectorists for its gentle humour and melancholic warmth.
