Apple TV has raised its US subscription prices with immediate effect, continuing a series of annual increases across major streaming services. The monthly plan now costs $14.99 and the annual plan $119, reflecting Apple’s effort to charge more as its catalogue, audience and reputation for prestige programming expand.

The monthly fee rose from $12.99, while the annual price increased from $99; existing subscribers will receive about a month’s notice before being charged the new rates. Apple One’s individual bundle has also risen from $19.95 to $21.95. This is Apple TV’s fourth price rise in four years, taking its monthly cost to three times its 2019 launch price, despite Apple reporting record viewership and $30.7 billion in quarterly services revenue.
