Apple TV's sci-fi series Dark Matter has returned for its second season, with the streamer releasing new episodes weekly over the coming months. Based on Blake Crouch's bestselling novel, the show adapted the entire book in its first season, meaning Season 2 now moves into original, uncharted story territory. It arrives as Apple TV continues to build a strong reputation for original science fiction, alongside hits such as Severance and Pluribus, and the opening episode has already proved popular, climbing towards the top of the platform's streaming charts.

Collider has shared an exclusive sneak peek of Episode 2, titled "A New Home", which sees the Dessen family continuing their search for a new home while characters Amanda and Ryan embark on a fresh adventure in another world. Joel Edgerton and Jennifer Connelly star as Jason and Daniela Dessen, each playing multiple versions of their characters across parallel universes, with Oakes Fegley as their son Charlie, and Alice Braga and Jimmi Simpson in supporting roles. Author Blake Crouch remains closely involved as a writer and executive producer, and new episodes air every Friday on Apple TV.
