Apple TV has released a first look at Nocturne, a forthcoming 10-episode serial-killer thriller that Collider positions as the next crime obsession for fans of series such as The Fall. The drama is adapted from the internationally bestselling Lars Kepler novels Lazarus and The Sandman, and pairs three well-known actors on opposing sides of a violent manhunt, signalling a high-profile addition to the streamer's crime output.

The series follows Jonah Lynn (Liev Schreiber), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who leaves Philadelphia for a quieter life in a small town in western Pennsylvania, only for that plan to unravel. When the town and his own family come under attack from a cunning serial killer, Jurek Walker (Stephen Graham), Jonah is drawn back into danger, and the hunt for Jurek's final missing victim places his surrogate daughter, FBI agent Saga Bauer (Zazie Beetz), directly in the killer's path.
