Ariana Grande has filed a lawsuit against unidentified individuals accused of breaching her accounts and those of her associated photographers and producers to obtain unreleased recordings, photographs, and video content. According to filings submitted to a Los Angeles court, the stolen material—including approximately 45 songs from 2023—was subsequently monetised through dark web sales channels.

The legal action alleges civil theft, privacy violations, and breaches of California's anti-hacking statutes. Grande's legal team is seeking to compel internet service providers to reveal the perpetrators' identities and characterises the appropriated content as part of a private creative process never intended for public distribution, framing the breach as an assault on the trust between artist and audience.
