## Summary

Vancouver artist Art d’Ecco has released his fifth album, *Scheele’s Green*, in full. The record is among his most explicitly political, using his sharp-edged art-pop to address current unrest and economic strain.

The album refers to a 19th-century green pigment whose chemical ingredients gradually poisoned people exposed to it. Art d’Ecco says he wanted to express his feelings more directly, mixing gallows humour with defiance and a refusal to give up.
